The September update to CloudiManage.com will deliver some welcome enhancements to the user experience as well as adding new features for administrators.  

Key Dates:
The enhancements will be released to customers at the start of October (updated 16/09).

Key Enhancements for Users:

New iManage properties and security panels

  • The Properties Panel has been greatly enhanced for usability and accessibility.  
  • The styling and design of the panels have been changed to improve visibility and navigation, as well as ensuring screen readers are fully supported.
  • The security properties will move a separate tab, making these details much more visible.
  • The new Security panel brings together all the key properties into one location.  This means users and administrators can see and perform changes quickly.  The position of the Security tab can be configured by administrators via iManage Control Centre. 


Enhancements to iManage filters

  • You will be able to select multiple options in the File Type filter!
  • Filters have also been enhanced to allow for dynamic filtering. Selecting a filter may adjust other filters to reflect your selection. This will enhance the relevance and efficiency of filters.
  • The addition of new radio buttons and check boxes help to clearly indicate your selections, making the overall experience more logical.

Key Enhancements for Administrators:

Automatic deletion of iManage Trash

  • iManage has been enhanced to allow organisations to automatically delete trash as well as any associated journals, based on the number of days the data has been in the trash bin. 
  • Access to the new facility is obtained via the iManage Control Centre, so only those with the proper permissions can access it.  As with any trash deletion, once it’s gone, it’s gone!

Customisation of the Properties Panel 

  • Administrators will be able to customise Properties Panels to add or remove metadata fields, or to change the display order of metadata fields. This could help to make the display more relevant and improve the visibility of important values by moving them towards the top of the form.
  • Customisations can be made to the properties of workspaces, folders, searches, documents and emails in iManage Work. 
  • This new feature will initially be released as an “Upcoming Feature” allowing organisations to test it on their users before it becomes a permanent feature on 16th December 2024.
