Modern slavery statement

SUMMARY

Our organisation recognises and takes very seriously its responsibility to help protect and preserve human rights around the world. Our Modern Slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

OVERVIEW

Ascertus Limited (“the Company”) are not required to report annually or prepare a full statement in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, however this policy is to confirm that Ascertus is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business activities and supply chains.

This Modern Slavery Policy relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024. It sets out the steps which Ascertus has taken during this time to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of
our business or supply chains.

POLICY STATEMENT

The Company confirms that:

  • We are fully aware of the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015
  • We are aware that our clients will not tolerate slavery anywhere in its operations.
  • We are committed to the prevention of the exploitation and abuse associated with modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • We are committed to treating all workers with respect and dignity and ensuring safe working conditions.
  • We follow the UN Global Compact’s 10 principles pertaining to Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption. Our actions demonstrate our support of, and respect for, internationally recognised human rights.
  • We promote ethical values, which is reinforced by our employment and labour policies, such as those relating to diversity & inclusion.
  • Our employees are expected to report their concerns and we expect our management to act upon them.

OUR BUSINESS AND SUPPLY CHAIN

Ascertus does not manufacture goods, operate factories, or handle raw material or commodities. Our primary supply chain categories are in corporate services and technology. We are an software reseller and implementation partner and we provide technology solutions to corporates, law firms and professional services.

Ascertus does not tolerate slavery, forced labour, child labour or human trafficking in any form and we are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business.

At a minimum we expect our vendors and their supply chain to fully comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the conduct of their business, including to slavery, forced labour, child labour and human trafficking.

IMPLEMENTATION OF POLICY

The Company endorses this Policy and is fully committed to its implementation.

We will continue to review, update, and develop policies and supplier processes across our business as best practice matures to ensure a robust and consistent approach to supply chain risks. We will continue to make all efforts to identify any significant risks in our supply chain and implement any actions appropriate or necessary directly with suppliers.

We will continue to engage with our people and our suppliers to raise awareness and to take further steps to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business and our supply chain.
