London, U.K., 29 January 2018 – London-based business law firm, Howard Kennedy, has awarded the contract for iManage Work Product Management system support services to Ascertus Limited, a provider of document and information lifecycle management solutions to law firms and corporate legal departments. Ascertus has also been contracted to upgrade Howard Kennedy’s 400 plus iManage Work users in the firm’s London Bridge office to the latest version of this next generation document and email management system, in 2018.
Ascertus to play key role in helping firm realise strategic IT roadmap
Clive Knott, IT Director at Howard Kennedy LLP, explained the firm’s rationale for this move,
“In addition to good account management and accountability for support services, we wanted a technology provider who could take on a consultative role in helping us realise our strategic, five-year vision for technology adoption. Ascertus met these criteria.”
Howard Kennedy’s realisation of its strategic IT roadmap is critical to its competitive edge. The firm’s vision includes adopting technologies that will enable the firm to become more agile in order to meet the fast-evolving needs of its clients and respond to wider changes in the legal market. Providing employees with mobile working benefits is also a central tenet of the firm’s vision for technology adoption. The iManage Work upgrade that Ascertus will deliver to the firm next year is instrumental to this strategic technology adoption initiative at Howard Kennedy.
The firm chose Ascertus for the team’s knowledge across the document management ecosystem, demonstrable understanding of Howard Kennedy’s requirements, personable and approachable account management team and focus on delivering high quality support, regardless of the size of the customer organisation.
Ascertus is continuously investing in its support organisation. Its London-based support desk comprises highly experienced and technically sound engineers, all of whom have previously worked either within law firm IT departments or in professional services firms providing support to law firms. They understand the pressures that knowledge workers face, are excellent at problem solving and proficient in inter-personal communications.
The company is gaining considerable recognition for its approach to delivering support services to customers. In 2017, Ascertus has seen an exponential increase in new customer wins for support services alone.
“Howard Kennedy is a forward-looking law firm with a well-defined technology adoption roadmap,” said Roy Russell, CEO of Ascertus Limited. “We are looking forward to working with the firm to help deliver solutions that are tailored to their way of working.”
